Duchy Pirates is one of the newest BMX club in the country having started up three years ago when a group of experienced BMX and 4X racers decided to take up the opportunity of working with the Cornish Extreme Sports Centre based at "The Track" Portreath. There already existed an array of trails for beginners and experts that had been used in national King OF Dirt competitions. There was also a 4X track that had held rounds of the national series including the final in 2005. This is now being totally rebuilt into an international standard BMX track.

The club has members from 5 to 45, with many families having several generations represented. Duchy hold floodlit club sessions on Wednesdays and will be with our friends at Cornwall BMX holding coaching sessions for all levels on Sundays, keep watching for details!
